My days off use to be Saturday's and Sundays, with a little volunteering for the previous incarnation of Dive Rutland and a little alcohol on Friday and Sunday nights, now the question is what is a weekend. The week has turned upside down and the weekend is Wednesday and Thursday but then the opening hours of the Dive Centre were changed to accommodate The Goal game on a Wednesday so that leaves Thursdays... so this 'Day in the Life of' is one of those Thursday's.
Everyday starts the same in our household with Breakfast, walking Enzo (German Shepherd) and shower...But today this was quickly followed by a quick drive to go and fetch the St.Abbs trip polo shirts and badges.
On returning, quick coffee followed by cleaning out the Fish Tank, washing machine loaded. Right now, those badges need sewing onto the shirts (yes I can sew), interrupted by a spot of lunch and then off to fill cylinders (that took longer than anticipated) and load the van.
Oh yes, have I said this is Thursday 18th August and the day before travelling to Eyemouth for the Dive Rutland Club trip to dive the Eyemouth and St.Abbs Marine reserve with DiveStay!
Home, hang out the washing and then another load started. Finish sewing on the rest of the badges. Must be beer o'clock... Nope not yet... better go pack my own diving equipment now everything loaded as per trip requests.
Tea - yeah.... can sit down now..... and then finish the day responding to emails and those last minute text's for equipment and must remember to bring that load of washing in....

Bed now.... ready for the drive tomorrow and a night of thinking through what it is that has not been packed...
