There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts divers!

PADI Deep Diver Specialty

Picture

Your Advanced Open Water Course certifies you to a maximum depth of 30 metres (adult).  The Deep Speciality teaches you how to plan and safely undertake dives in the 18-40 metre range.

Your Deep Adventure Dive may be counted toward the Specialty course at instructor discretion.

You may also count this Specialty certification as one of the five required Specialties for the Master Scuba Diver Certification.

What do I need to start?
You need to be qualified at PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent) or above and be over 15 years old to undertake this course.
As with all of courses we supply everything you need.  You can use your own dive equipment and you can use ours as required to fill any gaps!

What will I do?
During your PADI Deep Diver Specialty course, you'll learn techniques for diving in the deeper range of 18-40 metres including deep scuba diving equipment considerations, safe diving techniques, planning, and skills.  The course includes 4 deep dives with a PADI Deep Specialty Instructor where you'll plan and carry out the dives along with practicing emergency procedures including the use of alternate air supplies, extended safety stops and understanding the psyological effects of depth.

How long will it take?
The course includes 3 open water dives in one day if you have Advanced Open Water and recent dive experience with us or 4 dives over 2 days.  At DIVE Rutland we usually plan this over two successive Sundays and sometimes two consecutive days.  We also take advantage of trips to provide this course.

What will I need?

Deep Diver Crew Pak is supplied and included in the cost.  Your included manual helps you learn important theory knowledge prior to the open water dives.
Course price does not include your entry to open water site.
