What do I need to be to complete?
A certified diver who needs a refresher, pre-travel update, pre-assessment for a continuing education course or an upgrade from Junior diver or even a non-certified diver who is referred to complete training or PADI Scuba Divers who are going on to Open Water Diver certification.
What will I do?
You will go over the scuba knowledge you learned during your initial training, items such as : -
Once completed, you will go through and practise your skills in a confined water session in our pool either on a Tuesday or Saturday, before the session you will review information about each skill with a Dive Rutland PADI Professional, why it’s important, points to remember when performing the skill and a short video clip. Completing this section just before practising is a great way to refresh your knowledge of how each skill is performed.

- Problem management
- Breathing air at depth
- Recreational diving and dive tables: basic knowledge

PADI's Scuba Tune-up Guidebook (included as part of the Scuba Review) to quickly and effectively review scuba diving fundamentals. You will begin by answering a few questions related to dive safety, problem management and dive planning. For example:

- What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?
- What is the maximum depth limit for all recreational diving?
- What are the signs and symptoms of decompression sickness?
- At 12 meters a diver runs out of air. Her buddy is more than 16 metres away, what should she do?
- Correct answers will allow you to complete the book quickly. For incorrect answers, you’ll read a brief explanation to help you understand the concept.

A Swimming Costume / Towel / Wet Suit or Rash Vest and shorts
All other diving equipment - BCD / Regulator Set, including dive computer and contents gauge / Cylinder and Air is provided
If you have you own SCUBA equipment and you wish to use it that's fine so long as its within service dates. If you want us to check your equipment/have it serviced then contact us, bring it in and we'll take a look!

If you are happy with your fundamental skills but are maybe a bit rusty with some Advanced or Rescue skills - why not join our club, and as a member we'll be happy to cover off some skills reviews as part of the normal club activities. This is great for Rescue skills practice!!!
