Day One - Travel Day

After a long journey, using pretty much every transport option available - mini bus, aeroplane and ferry... We arrived at our hotel, the Occidental on Cozumel. After checkin and bed (beers for some before)....

Day Two

We tested out the breakfast buffet, before all the normal paperwork and getting everyone setup with equipment at Pro Dive! Dive centre, in readiness for our two afternoon dives.

For the qualified divers a gentle drift across two reefs, lots to see... Whilst the unqualified completed their first two open water dives, all skills completed on the move.... Shows the results of pool side being done moving and not kneeling... Really proud of them all.

After skills, saw lion fish, fireworks, baracuda, lots of varieties of coral... But was concentrating on students So I missed everything else.

Day Three

Today the group were split over two boats, with qualified on one boat and the rest of us on another. Dives 3 and 4 completed and then some pretty amazing sights... On the first dive a turtle decided to join us on the surface whilst everyone doing scuba unit remove and replace! So that stopped the skill for a while, so everyone could have a look and watch him reeds end back onto the reef.

On open water four all I can say is everyone was spoilt as there is not many open water divers going to see turtles, eagle rays and a nurse shark!

So now we have three newly qualified open water divers in our underwater world.

Third dive of the day, aim to get one student through open water dive three as they had previously struggled with ears... Which we did, so with only one student, two instructors and a guide in the water out came the cameras.....

Look closely at the reef and amazing what you find - sea spiders, large crabs and lobsters (feed a large family a decent lobster salad). Large hermit crabs, turtle, boxfish and Ray's to name a few...
