![]() So we left the team after they had arrived in resort and in good trip style they ate dinner and then went to bed for their first nights sleep, all betting if Rachel would be up ready to go diving at 7am.. Guess what she was! What's more the illustrious missing suitcase arrived at around 5am. Woohoo!! All just in time to start this weeks diving. So at 08:15 everyone was loaded onto our boat Kermit 2. Really a muppet name! so now we are all going to be singing the muppet song all week - Mahna mahna to you to and to those that are to young go look it up! Getting to the main dive boat is an interesting, we load into a little tin boat and then get pulled across to Kermit by the crew. Balancing skills are definitely required, as well as weight distribution, in fact, it's like a mini Peak Performance Buoyancy Course So far we have seen lots and lots!! Just like the trip brochure promised and here is just a little sample
Frogfish / Hairy frogfish / Seahorse / Turtles / (Ultra rare)Mushroom coral pipe fish/ lots of various nudibranch (Tracey you should be here!)/ Triggerfish / Titan Triggerfish (and yes, they are ultra aggressive as one of the group found out on day one with a bruise to show for it, and then three others who obviously did not learn anything from that had there own altercation on day three!) / Mimic Octopus and Blue ringed octopus.... most venomous in the world... everyone got back safely!! At the end of diving day one, a muppet of the day was announced by Tony E (tour operator) and it was a close contest... but congratulations to Lee for his win. Our snorkelers with their new Ocean Reef Full Face Masks of which they are really no REALLY impressed, are quickly working their way through the fish identification guides and they have now ticked off the butterfly fish and parrot fish collection So for most, we have managed three dives a day plus night dives, with the night dives being underneath the Padre burgos Peir ... especially the transport! Five at a time on the back of the truck!! Wacky races eat your heart out! Comments are closed.
