![]() A snorkel, that piece of diving equipment that is attached to your mask or can be attached to your mask before and after a dive (technical) that allows you to breath whilst on the surface, gets tangled in your hair and to some people the most annoying piece of dive equipment ever, but here am I writing a review on a snorkel, yes really! Never thought I would see the day! In the 30 years of diving I have seen many different types of snorkel come and go, but for those that know me my pool snorkel is the VERY first snorkel I ever purchased, why change something that works well Recently we were loaned some equipment by Aqua Lung to try out, all I have to say is I would like to hope they forget about the snorkel because everyone who has been around me will know I have raved about it, since it arrived. The snorkel is the Aqua Lung Zephyr Flex in a really nice colour which Aqua Lung say is clear / raspberry but it’s actually white with a very nice splash of raspberry. It does come in other colours. From day one I have liked the colour even if certain members of the team have expressed other opinions. The next noticeable feature and one I particularly like is the fact that the mouthpiece swivels so you can turn it towards your mouth or away. We have all had snorkels that you have not be comfortable because of mouthpiece positioning, not an issue with this. And for this alone is why I really like this snorkel. Not had jaw ache and I do spend quite a lot of time in the pool with students. Apparently according to the sales blurb that’s because of the anatomically designed silicone mouthpiece
Clearing the snorkel is easy just gently breath out. The clip was easy to fit to a mask even with gloves on… The snorkel is a combination of being solid and flexible, which is what I think contributes to it being as comfortable to use as it is as well as the mouthpiece – Have I mentioned that it swivels? Amazing value for its RRP of £25.00 Comments are closed.
