![]() The Ocean Reef marketing blurb says the following about the Aria QR+ that we have recently started to stock (as well as the Aria Classic) Breathe through your nose while snorkeling. Good bye jaw discomfort (no uncomfortable mouthpiece to bite onto). Good bye difficult breathing and goodbye water in your snorkel thanks to our dry snorkel. For good. Huge field of vision and no more fogging thanks to our patented and independently tested air circulation technology. Our FFSM line has a uniquely designed orinasal for optimal sealing around your nose. All our tests are counducted in water and with actual use in mind. Our masks are not only designed in Italy, but are also Made in Italy. Snorkeling re-invented The Aria QR+ NEW DESIGN, new strap and quick release system. This ensures greater comfort, safety and ease when putting on and taking off the mask. The quick release not only is easy to grasp, but also swivels to ensure a good hold from the comfortable elastic straps. FULL VISUAL on the underwater world- The QR + mask will revolutionize your snorkeling experience. You will be able to observe everything that happens around you underwater with a 180° panoramic view. Experienced snorkelers will appreciate the dark face seal which reduces incoming surface glare for a more enjoyable visual experience. ACCESSORIES – QR+ comes with the Camera Support included. The mask also comes with a reusable carry bag with mesh bottom for drainage to allow drying after use. QR+ is compatible with all accessories in the FFSM Ocean Reef line. Exclusives like Snorkie Talkie, Optical Lens’ Kits and matching Duo fins all add to maximize comfort for an unforgettable experience. This mask is not intended for free diving although swimming submerged is possible at shallow depths. But as we ALL know the "proof is in the pudding" so we needed a volunteer to test this mask... someone who is not a diver, maybe a little nervous in the water but is going on one of our club trips to warmer climates and will be snorkelling.. someone who recently completed the Skin Diver Course with us and would provide some honest feedback. Rollup: Tracy Adcock, so in Tracy's words... As I require a mask and snorkel for my trip to the Philippines, I was persuaded to try out the new Ocean reef full face mask and snorkel. At first I was a little apprehensive as I thought I may feel claustrophobic having the whole of my face covered, but actually I didn’t, it was easy to put on, and after practice I managed to put it on and place correctly. It took me half an hour of breathing through my mouth before my brain kicked in and thought actually you can breathe through your nose, which makes things easier. I also found it easier to go under water as the snorkel closes, so that when you come up and forget to clear your snorkel before you breathe through it, you get a breath of air not a mouth full of water. The mask was comfortable and you have good visibility. The only down side will be what colour to choose! So, if you wish to try the mask or complete the Skin Diver Course or both, then pop in for a chat or just to have a look, everyone is welcome. But we would strongly advise a fitting as with any mask prior to purchase. Thanks to Tracy for 'giving it a go'.
