The Storm Poncho, Fourth Element's new all weather poncho, has arrived in store as demonstrated by Tracey (it is a little bit large!). Throw it on to get changed into your wetsuit or swimwear at the beach (plenty of space!) or on the boat. Use it to warm up after a session in the water or to cover up between dives. This poncho is waterproofed for all weather, fleece-lined and cosy lightweight, smaller and easier to pack than predecessors and is part of the Fourth Element OceanPositive range.
The Storm poncho is made using S.Cafe® technology. This is a low-temperature, high-pressure, energy saving process producing a recycled yarn from coffee grounds that would otherwise go to landfill. The soft, light and flexible fabric has a 200% faster drying time compared to cotton. It is also impregnated with 'activated' carbon, derived from coconut, which binds to sweat to eliminate unpleasant odours. It is UV resistant and wicks water away. using fabric manufactured according to Bluesign® standard, the Storm Poncho is produced using innovative, resources-conserving and environmentally friendly techniques.
The bluesign® system reduces the environmental impact concerning the entire textile supply chain. With its holistic approach the Input Stream Management provides an efficient solution for chemical suppliers, textile and accessories manufacturer as well as fashion brands. Stating the principles and monitoring the implementation of the bluesign® system, bluesign technologies ag encourages the textile industry to increase their efforts in sustainable processes.
