![]() Y40 is on a couple of Dive Rutland's club members bucket lists as they wish to dive the "deepest pool in the world"... well it is for now anyway and I am sure when the next deepest pool is built we will be asked to go there to. But you know you want to get a tick in your dive log for diving the deepest pool in the world. Diving in the UK is exciting, challenging, and well getting colder but with a drysuit, full face mask and good quality thermal protection its a great all year diving location.
When you realise that you only have 16 dives until dive 300, its quite a terrifying thought that will put Bridge someone around March - well it is for Bridget anyway, as NO ONE wants to dive in a bikini in Stoney in March! March means Easter is coming, and by Easter as a teacher will certainly need a break. So, as Bridget has always wanted to go to Venice, and with Y-40 boasting the current deepest pool in the world, it seems like a great place to help her celebrate dive 300 while checking off a bucket list item. The fact that it is temperature controlled certainly will not hurt! Not only does Y-40 check off dive in the deepest pool in the world, but you can also add the only pool that is supplied and temperature controlled by thermal waters. If that does not do it for you, you can swim in the same waters an Enzo Maiorca, Umberto Pelizzari, Ilaria Molinari and well the list continues Bridget has visited Nemo 33 with us on a previous club trip and is excited to add Y-40 to her logbook next April. A location that has diving options for all levels of divers, but if you want to hit the deepest depths brave the cold and dive Stoney at its best, then feel free to join us on the first and last Sunday of every month. Last Sunday the water was so clear it was incredible. Why not schedule yourself in for your Advanced Open Water certification, which allows you to dive to 30m or even your deep speciality giving you nearly full access to Y-40! Book on to the club trip and join us while we tick another two things off Bridget's and a few others diving bucket lists…at least until a deeper pool is dug! Comments are closed.
