The Coral Reef Conservation Speciality is a non-diving program designed to familiarise divers and non divers with the complexity of coral reef habitats and teaches you how you can help conserve these vital systems. It also covers the role Project AWARE Foundation plays in protecting aquatic ecosystems worldwide.
Course Overview
During this classroom based Specialty, you will learn about the biodiversity of coral reef systems and why they are so important to the eco system, the benefits they provide to island, coastal regions and tourism, how they benefit human health. What coral is, how it lives, grows and feeds and then how it dies. Then most importantly what we can do to preserve it.
