Course Overview

During the (EFR) Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others.
This course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses.

What do I need to Start?
Be at least 18 years old
Have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months

What will I do?
During the course you will learn
- How to present course content, encourage self-discovery in students, how to evaluate student understanding and mastery as well as how to manage scenario based learning experiences.
- How to make your courses fun and full of laughter
- You will be bought up to date with the latest First Aid procedures and techniques and you’ll be shown how you can easily pass this knowledge onto others.
- How to get your students to finish their EFR course feeling confident with their new skills and ready AND prepared to help someone in need
Materials
As with all our courses we supply everything you need including the EFR Instructor Startup Pack (which you keep) which includes the Instructor Manuals for Primary and Secondary, Care for Children and the new CPR/AED course. 3 consumer manuals, 3 DVD’s, a Care at a Glance Card, some bandages, 3 versions of consumer exams and a Red Carry Bag.
How long does it take?
1 Day if Assistant Instructor or other diving professional or teacher otherwise 2 days
What do I need to know?
You will learn from instructors who provide all levels of first aid training, you might even recognise some of them as they work for our sister company Rutland First Aid Training
Any Other Costs?
On completion of this course there is an Instructor application fee payable directly to PADI / EFR by yourself.
What are the next steps after completing the EFR Instructor course?
On completing this course you have a number of options which included becoming a PADI Instructor or maybe working as a First Aid instructor, gain your First Aid At Work instructor rating with us and then you can teach a full suite of first aid business course as well, allowing you to freelance for a first aid company or startup your own.
