Why Become a PADI Master Scuba Diver?

This certification denotes that you've reached the highest recreational diver level in the PADI System of diver education. PADI Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a significant amount of training and experience in a variety of dive environments.

No one said prestige was easy to come by, but it is certainly well worth it. As a Master Scuba Diver your experience will open a new level of confidence whether you're diving local wrecks, quarries, reefs or exploring exciting dive environments around the world. Achieving recognition as a 'black belt' of recreational scuba diving is amongst the most sought after diving accolades.

But training is expensive!

We hear this a lot.  But you do not set out to do all of your training at once, working with the dive team here at Dive Rutland we can look at how you can benefit most from the programs and offers we have available and as such we can provide a number of routes and options to allow you to achieve your Master Scuba Diver certification

Below there is just one way you could achieve this certification as a worked example

Worked Example on achieving Master Scuba Diver

Complete your Drysuit Speciality when you do your Open Water certification with us, this saves you money as we train all of our divers in a drysuit and therefore you are working towards your drysuit speciality without realising it.  If you choose to integrate your drysuit speciality with your open water certification not only do you achieve your first speciality but you make £'s of savings.

Then complete your Enriched Air Speciality - this is a dry course and great to keep you learning during the winter
Open Water info
Enriched Air Speciality

Now complete your Advanced Open water certification, this is a FIVE dive certification but because you already hold the Drysuit and Enriched Air Speciality you are now the holder of TWO specialities which can count towards your Advanced open water.  Now only leaving you with THREE dives to complete - DEEP, NAVIGATION and one other of your choice - all can be done on one open water training day and we have a three dive Advanced package again making £'s of savings/
Advanced OW Info
Next - Rescue Course - take the Rescue Deluxe package option and you will complete your Rescue Course, the first aid pre-requisites and an additional speciality the Emergency Oxygen Provider

You now have THREE of your FIVE specialities

This is where it gets tricky

Use your next two speciality based on the diving YOU want to do, not what a dive centre might want you to do for easy of logistics and staffing, after all this is your training and your diving.

If you want to be a UK diver, then you should consider the SMB speciality, you will need to launch one if diving offshore, learning the types of SMB and reel combinations through our course will help you decide what equipment is best for you

Remember diving is not just about training, join one of our boat trips and add on your Boat Speciality - this will allow you to learn the ins and outs of safe boat diving and we have always offer this speciality at a reduced price if on one of our trips
SMB Speciality
Enriched Air Speciality
But if you do not fancy any additional diving in the UK at this point then how about a Project Aware and Equipment Speciality - Both dry specialities and again great for winter learning.
Project Aware Speciality
Equipment Speciality
Want to become a Divemaster, then you should choose Deep Speciality and Search and Recovery as these will give you credits on part of your Divemaster course
Deep Speciality
Search and Recovery Speciality
There is your FIVE - easy peasy and with fifty dives, we can apply for your Master Scuba Diver certification

Whats Next after Master Scuba Diver?

Keep Diving after all that is why you learnt to dive isn't it, travel and marvel at the magic that is our underwater world and its is one of the underlying principles of our Dive Club - Keep Diving
