Picture
The PADI Tec 45 course introduces Tec 40 divers to the first stages of full, technical deep decompression diving.  Certified Tec 45 divers are qualified to make multi-stop decompression dives that employ EANx and oxygen for accelerated decompression.

The expectation is that Tec 45 divers intend to progress their skills, experience and qualifications beyond the Tec 45 level and as such the course not only develops the knowledge and skills to make open circuit technical dives as deep as 45 metres but also begins to develop the skills and knowledge that will assist you to continue to Tec 50 diver and beyond.

What you will achieve:

  1. Qualification to make limited decompression dives using air, EANx and oxygen to 45 metres or less, using a single decompression gas up to 100% oxygen to add conservatism or accelerate required decompression.
  2. Training in knowledge, procedures and motorskills required to undertake the dives.
  3. Assure you understand the hazards and risks associated with this level of diving and tec diving in general.
  4. Training and preparedness for reasonably foreseeable emergencies that may occur within Tec 45 limits.
  5. A foundation to continue your training to Tec 50 and beyond.
